Decaf-not Sundaily

[:1]RL: My coffee maker died last night when I was going to make some of that fine brew at about 8pm. I pour the water in, slap that nice ground coffee bean stuff in the filter paper, press the power on and fifteen minutes later I still can't hear those lovely "blrrrrsgh sruuush shhhhhh" noices. I started to think that I'm just being absent minded again and had forgotten to put it on. But no, this was much, much worse. It was actually broken and just wouldn't heat the water

Well I'm not this easy, Mr. fancy coffee maker. I'll tear you up real good and find out what's the problem. I flip it upside down and start cracking it open. The first obstacle is a pair of screws. Sounds mostly harmless, but I ended up filing my nice and shiny flat screwdriver to match the special type of screw head. Way to go, coffee cooker companies.

I opened up the bottom and found some electronics and a heat element. Everything seemed allright, but an Apico connector going to the heat element was pretty fried. "Ah'ha! I'll replace it!" Too bad I don't have any of those standard connectors, but I do have a solder iron and some tin. So, at 10pm I go rumbling to the "stuff" closet and find the appropriate tools and start soldering. The wire was very close being too short to be reconnected, but it turned out ok. Proud of being The Manly Handyman I flipped the cooker upside up, plugged it and put some water in the tank. Power on. I then waited 20 seconds and told my girlfriend we need a new coffee maker.



Ok, that's last night. You already think I'm a shaking wreck anxiously waiting for the super markets to open (damn Sundays) so I can buy a new coffee maker. Well yes, I am waiting for them to open, but I'm not shaky at all. I've written too much already so let me just link a picture or two.

RL: Sunday and nice weather for a change. Have painted our garageand will now make lunch. Have no idea what to make though... (I did make onion rings in our deep fryer yesterday which was super delicious!!)

D2: my newest attempt of hardcore, Spike the barbarian, just finished act 1 normal. The problem will start in end of act 2 normal, with all the summoners and other evil doers...|||RL: Just woke up and put on a pot of coffee. Not sharing any with Tupsi. My coffee! >:]

D2: SS, DD. Doing MF runs like a mindless zombie. Also running around on my Barb on HC trying to find a nice Oath shell. No luck in either department. v.v|||Quote:

RL: Did some cleaning yesterday and the plan was to do some more today. However i really don't feel like doing anymore since it's weekend. So i did the bare minimum today. Also wanted to work out a bit but i'm not feeling all that well so i'm skipping that too. Which leaves more time for...

D2: Picked up a special HC project of mine i've put off for way too long. Played in a tournament a couple of years ago with some pretty hefty restrictions. I picked one of the toughest builds, thinking i could pull it off. I failed multiple times. Still i feel it's possible. So after having the thought lingering in the back of my mind, now i'm giving it another go. Just moved to act 2. Still a long way to go, but the start is there.

When i get tired of playing that carefull i think i'll move to another special project of mine. A weird SC build i don't think anyone has done before. At least i don't remember seeing it.|||RL: Well, it's "Indian summer" here. 4th of september and still 23 C outside. Have been alot outside today.

D2: Will continue with my druid today/tonight. Would be fun to do a hc-character. From scratch are always nice and refreshing.

OVG: Abit tired to play CivIII today..|||RL: Hung around this morning not doing much. Then I played 18 holes of gold, did pretty well and actually got par twice, which is good for me, because I'm not that good really. Apparently we were playing the first 9 for beer buying privileges. So I ended up throwing a few back. Ended up getting a bit more toasty than I am used to, but it was good fun still.

D2: Played survivors tourney this morning and died -.- Then played Fashionistas tournament and didn't die
