What is PvP Week?
Well the clue is in the name. It is a week of PvP games, intended to be a friendly way to introduce new players to high level duelling. I used to write that it was non competitive, but who am I kidding? Everyone wants to win. Let's just say it isn't a competition. If you are new to PvP but worried about getting smeared all over the Blood Moor, don't be. Your new character may have a steep learning curve, but it is everyone's interests that you enjoy it and keep playing. Players can split into teams to even out skill levels. Don't expect to win every duel either though
What happens in PvP Week?
- You will get the best idea by reading the write ups from all the previous PvP weeks.
- The idea is a PvP game, every night, for a week. You don't have to play every night, but you can.
- PvP week is all about high level, bad manners rules duelling. I'm not planning to include any low fat, sugar free alternatives like aLLD18 or LLD30.
- PvP Week - The Questions Thread is a wealth of good info and is always open if you have any questions.
- As usual, I'll try to write up every nights duelling, although help / screenshot / videos are always appreciated for this.
- As the PvP ladder is also running over this period, it should be a good opportunity to get practice and get some duels done. We can alway clear The Cold Plains for ladder duels.
OK, you have convinced me, I want to have a go, but I have never played PvP before - How do I get started?
1. Read the epic Updated PvP Guide by Colony & Co.
2. Have a look at your existing characters. Maybe one could be re-equipped or adapted for PvP. You can even re-spec a character to play PvP. And if you don't like it, you can re-spec them back afterwards.
3. It is best to build (or re-spec) a character specifically for PvP, so pick a new build from the guide & get questing.
4. Level that character - Pits, Pindle or MP Baals will all do the job.
5. Join a game & give duelling a go.
So when will PvP week be?
- If you haven't PvPed before, get building your character now! With 1.13 rune drops it should easily to build and find/trade for competitive equipment in the time frame.
- I have some time at the end of July. I may be away on business for a day or two, but as a guide lets say these possible dates:
Option 1: Sunday 24th July to Sunday 31st July
Option 2: Friday 29th July to Friday 5th August
A Hidden Option 3 is possible between these dates, let me know what dates would suit you best.
- Yes, this thread may be a bit early and you may have forgotten about it by then. I am posting it now so that people have a chance to get characters together before the PvP week begins. I'll post reminders nearer the time.

As long as it doesn't go back, yes you can. If you need any build advice, you can post in this thread or the questions thread (linked in first post).|||Were not exactly swimming in sign ups, but my experience of previous PvP weeks is that half the people who sign up don't play, and half the people who play don't sign up.
Given the few responses so far, I am going to go with the second week, Friday 29th July to Friday 5th August.
Sign ups still remain open, it would be nice to get a better gauge of intrest from the more regular PvP players.|||im new to the sp dueling scene so ill give it a try, im free after 6pm central time so i could prob play every night but who knows. Not that I'm really a regular PvP player now, but I'll be away at the start of August so won't be playing, except for a very unlikely few games on the first Sunday.|||I'm usually down for some duels
