Nothing relevant by questing. Both HF runes were crap. I got an Io from Hell HF. I don't remember what I got from NM one.
Thoughts
Everyone should have one. She is the fastest Meph Runner out there after all.
But I didn't find it funny, because I don't like to bypass stuff. Blizz sorc obliterates everything not cold immune and sucks badly anywhere else. Sure, my Delirium-powered merc could do the job, but it is a bit tedious. Specially when facing those nasty CI merc-killing succubi, or the OK on steroids (did they always run that fast?).
Anyway, Ancients were easy and quick, and Travincal wasn't difficult at all. WSK was a bit scary, though. I got all the CI I could get, of course, so I just teleported right to Baal and cleared the throne room itself only.
I didn't even try to do Anya's Quest. I could reach max resists anyway.
Plans for the future
Keep doing some Meph Runs. I will also try to finish Anya's Quest to get to Pindle. And that's that.|||Hey there, back in the game?

I leveled from 76 to 82 doing Meph Runs and that is a lot of runs. I get a lot of useful stuff and some grailers. But I had her final equipment beforehand.

Yes. Max Block > Max Vita in all situations but gloam-infested areas.

Hehe. Well, I rarely die questing, even in SC. I think all my deaths in SC came from MF Runs and other repetitive tasks. That and playing tired or distracted.|||Well done on the Guardian! My current Guarian-in-the-making lvl 85 Meteorber is doing the max block > vit route as well. Much safer as long as I have quick reflexes for pots, but that goes without saying for HC anyway.
Found that using serpentine and guerilla/wild & blind FO firing tactics worked well with Gloams, but that required brief switches to running instead of walking.
EDIT: Of course, those tactics are in Hell with full LR.|||Quote:

She is not, but she can comfortably use an MF switch even in vanilla, unlike the fire sorc.

Well, to be honest, there was a fair amount of luck involved, and I always twink heavily. Then again, I have been playing this game since somewhere 2006 on and off, and I've always loathed dying. That kinda prepared me well.|||Quote:

Well, I'm abroad for the summer and all I have here is an untwinked charger who just finished act1 normal
But if you play 1.13, you might as well respec and try for yourself. Take a wand of Lower Resist (slvl3 charges) on switch and use partial or full Tal's for the -15% FR. Should be enough to outdamage your cold setup as it stands.
The difference will be negligible (~1s @p3). The only real benefit is that you can pummel him just fine even if he gets stuck on the stairs. Not worth losing the MF switch, imo.
This is for academic purposes, anyway. The moment you have the 3 Tal's pieces (orb, belt and amulet), not to mention wands/daggers with slvl3 LR, you are most likely done with Meph for good
