Hi! I`ve seen some character guide for bowazon, but can`t remember which exactly.
It recommended to max Cold Arrow, Freezing Arrow, Fire Arrow and Exploding Arrow. Spend points in Passives and also level Valkyrie.
Maxing 5 skills costs 100 points and we also have to pick prereq`s and Passives.
So how is it possible to make this Bowazon.
Also, I used to play Javazone with earlier patch (maybe 1.10) and she was dying from small amount of shots from mobs on Hell, so she was pretty useless.
What`s your experience?|||Well, you can spend 1 point in all the Passive Skills and max FA, EA and their synergies. I've done such zon twice and it's fun, but not everyone agrees. She should be done about the time when you finish Hell. The last thing to max is Cold Arrow for that zon. Alternatively, you can skip D/A/E and Valk.
Freezing Arrow is certainly good enough to be the main skill, validity of Exploding Arrow as a backup is somewhat more controversial. I like it, but for instance Nightfish has spoken against that idea. It is a much weaker attack than Freezing Arrow.
If you're using a bow which does decent physical damage, you can combine Freezing Arrow with physical bow attack, be it Strafe or Multishot. I love Multishot because it provides much more control than Strafe, but the latter's auto-aim feature seems to be more appealing to most people. The disadvantage of such setup is that Freezing Arrow flies off +Skills, while physical attack needs different set of mods (leech, %ED).
You can use javelins on one switch and bow on the other. Lightning/Cold and Poison/Cold are both valid choices, but the first one is much more popular. Look for "Fishyzon" in the FAQ thread in the stickies of this forum.
Hope that helps somehow.
--Greebo|||Well, from what you have told the guide (sounds like something like a mageazon) recommended maxing four skills, not five. I suppose the rest of the points are supposed to go into passives, valkyrie among others, once the arrow skills are maxed.
I would recommend using a "peace" armour to summon a valkyrie (very easy to obtain the runes), giving you a level 15 valkyrie for the cost of one point. The the rest of the points could go into other passives like a stronger decoy or whatever you think is most urgent. Having to equip another armour to summon her is tedious but it works.
This is of course assuming you don't have access to ultra-godly equipment and intend to twink your character, in which case it may be better to cast valkyrie on your own.|||I generally gor for 20 in Valk and Decoy. Synergised Valk is nigh unkillable, and a level 20 Decoy is a very cheap, strong, recastable tank that is very, very useful for controlling mobs. As you can probably gather from this, I don't tend to play elemental Bowazons. Safe and effective, which is how I like my characters.
